I’ve two new sew-along classes open to everyone who wants to try some dressmaking. Make a Kimono Jacket and Sewing with Silky Fabrics; Make a Camisole.

19th March – 2pm – 5pm – price £20

Make a lovely, comfortable and stylish kimono style top. You will learn to add bands, gathering techniques and French seams to create a floaty top that is great for a beach cover up, or to wear with T-shirt and jeans/leggings for added style! You will need Simplicity 1108 (sizes xxs – xxl – bust 29.5 – 48”) available from www.sewdirect.com. Suitable for all abilities.

27th March 2pm – 5pm – price £20

Get to grips with sewing silky, slippery elusive fabrics and make a simple camisole top whilst you do! I will guide you through cutting out, then choosing seams and seam finishes, how to make rouleau loops and finish a narrow hem. A camisole is perfect under transparent tops or dresses, or as nightwear. You will need Kwik Sew 2589, sizes XS-XL (bust 31.5 – 45”). Suitable for all abilities.
